Ken Morris
Ken Morris was appointed on 29th June 2005 and joined the Trust on 15th August 2005. Ken has had over 20 years experience of working at Executive and Non Executive Director level in a variety of organisations in the public, private and not-for-profit healthcare sectors. For the last two years he has been Chair of a successful PCT and, as such, he is fully aware of the recent developments in the NHS. His consultancy experience has been centred around change and improving overall performance in a variety of health and not for profit organisations. He has chaired and been a member of a number of national committees.
During his career he has demonstrated strong strategic skills and has a track record of successfully leading service reconfiguration and re-engineering of services. He possesses excellent analytical and problem solving skills, as well as strong commercial acumen and sound financial knowledge - he is a qualified accountant. He is an individual who strongly believes in evidenced based management, especially around the production of business cases, and has implemented this in the PCT.
Throughout his career he has demonstrated strong leadership. His style is one of getting to know people and ‘walking the floor’. During his career he has often been responsible for a large number of staff. He has good networks in the local health community in Merseyside.
