There is a Social Work Team based at the hospital to offer a service which is available to all patients and staff. We may be able to help with practical, emotional and personal problems, and to help identify the most appropriate support available.
Social Workers will be able to offer a wide range of services including:
* support for patients returning home from hospital
* support during pregnancy
* support for parents whilst their baby is in the NICU
* benefit advice
* advice re housing problems
* pre and post termination counselling
* support for patients who are terminally ill and their families
* support and counselling for couples attending the RMU
* advice re adoption issues
Obviously the needs of each service-user will differ a great deal and each person will be seen as an individual.
