Liverpool Women's Hospital is a centre of excellence and provides obstetric and gynaecological services for women.

The regional neonatal unit serves Liverpool and the surrounding area, it has 40 cots, 16 of which are designated for intensive care of the newborn and 24 for high dependency and low dependency care making it the largest unit of it's kind in Britain.

The Unit offers care for approximately 800 babies and their families per year. On the Neonatal Unit we ensure the whole family is included in the care and decision making of their baby in order to provide family centred care of the highest quality and in accordance with the Neonatal Unit's Philosophy of Care
