Genetic Associates are nurses with experience in Genetic Counselling or scientists with a qualification in Genetic Counselling. They provide support, information, advice and counselling to patients referred who are affected or at risk of developing a genetic condition.

The Medics
Geneticists are Medical Consultants who specialise in Clinical Genetics having already attained a broad clinical experience of adult and paediatric medicine. This broad experience is essential because in genetics we see patients of all ages (from the fetus to the elderly) and genetic disease can affect all body systems.

Secretariat
The Medical secretaries provide secretarial support and assistance for the medical staff and Genetic Associates. Maintenance of the departments confidential files and database systems are an essential part of the secretaries role.
