Menopause Clinic
It is a clinic for medical referral for women experiencing problems with menopausal symptoms / osteoporosis.
1 st visit - nurse led screening visit. Investigations to establish whether woman is menopausal, also, full medical history obtained.
2 nd visit - medical review. Bone mineral density ordered as warranted, HRT commenced.
Patients have easy access to the menopause nurse, via, telephone / voice mail.
The menopause nurse will discuss any problems that arise from patient contact, with the medical staff and appropriate action will follow.
It is a research base clinic. Patients are invited to participate in the on going clinical trails, if they wish.
